Driver T Hanara was examined by St John Personnel after being contacted by a trailing runner shortly after the start and was cleared of injury.

Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken to driver R May (KAMILLA) placed 2nd, who confirmed his chances had not been affected and that he did not wish to proceed with a protest. Driver S Clarke was issued a warning to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home in future. Mr Clarke was also issued a warning for crossing his reins late in the run home to perform a celebratory gesture

KAIRO - fractious in the preliminary and attempted to leave the track during the warmup dislodging driver K Green from the sulky. The gelding was uninjured in this incident. Ms Green was examined by the oncourse St John Ambulance personnel and cleared of any injury. Started from the Unruly position at the request of trainer/driver K Green for today's race only due to being fractious after the earlier incident. Slow away and then never in contention thereafter.
